On Wednesday, we had the honor and pleasure of being visited by professors and students of Koceljevo High School at the Institute. At the beginning of June, we started cooperation with this school. Through the program of professional practice, the students nurtured the seed crop of our paprika Župska rana.
The organizer of classes for the agricultural profession, Sasa Popovic, and the professor of vegetables, Radojka Pantelic, and their second-year students Milica Paunovic and Nevena Zivanovic were guests. Milica and Nevena, with their video about the seed crop of Župa rana, which was filmed in the school greenhouse, awakened in our team a sense of pride in domestic agriculture and strengthened faith in the future of the Republic of Serbia.
As a sign of gratitude for their work, we invited them to visit yesterday, during which an expert tour of the business-research surrounding of the Institute for Vegetable Crops was organized. We presented the details of laboratory and scientific research, seed production processes to our guests from Koceljeva, with the hope that young students will be interested in Science. By the decision of the director Dr. Muhović, the talented students Milica and Nevena were given appropriate gifts.
Zupska rana paprika seeds, which were produced in Koceljeva, after admission to the biological warehouse, batch allocation, finishing, laboratory health testing and seed quality control, verification of necessary documentation, after determining the fulfillment of all prescribed conditions, will be sown at plots in Serbia and in the Balkans.
